BIG NEWS: The historic California law that increases penalties for reckless driving with the intent to capture an image/recording of another person for commercial purposes has just been held to be constitutional by the California Courts of Appeal! http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/california-law-punishing-paparazzi-high-828437 Many thanks and congratulations to all who helped push forward this necessary law aimed at protecting public safety, and a special thanks for the able prosecutors who argued the case!

Appeals court rules that it doesn't impinge free speech or press rights under First Amendment.

THIS JUST IN: Today, Governor Brown signed Assembly Bills 1256 and 1356 into law. These bills represent a momentous sea change in increasing privacy protections for children at schools, individuals seeking medical treatment, those placed under unauthorized surveillance, and those afflicted by the persistent menace of stalkers. After a long and sometimes arduous journey, Longo & Alach LLP is thrilled and honored to have contributed to helping present and push these laws forward alongside Assemblyman Richard Bloom, The Paparazzi Reform Initiative, SAG-AFTRA, and the countless others who dedicated their time, resources and support to making the events of this day a reality.
