Law Offices of Sarah A. Intelligator

Law Offices of Sarah A. Intelligator The Law Offices of Sarah A. Intelligator is a Family Law firm, located in Beverly Hills, serving the The practice of Family Law is unique. She continues to teach.

Raised by a mother who has practiced Family Law for almost thirty years, and still practices, Sarah feels as though she has been exposed to the issues Family Law practitioners encounter on a daily basis, her entire life. Sarah graduated from UCLA, cm laude, with a Bachelor of Arts, in English. She received a Juris Doctorate, from Southwestern Law School, in Los Angeles. In her first year of law s

chool, Sarah earned the coveted title of First Place Oralist in Southwestern Law School's Intramural Moot Court Competition. Not only was this achievement a product of her extreme diligence and dedication, but also a testament to her strong skills as an advocate. Through this experience, Sarah learned that she truly had a passion for litigation. In addition, while attending Southwestern Law School, in Los Angeles, Sarah clerked for the District Attorney, which provided her with a solid Criminal Law background as well. Practicing exclusively Family Law since 2008, Sarah worked for the Law Offices of Rosaline L. Zukerman, APC, for five years, prior to opening her own practice. Sarah recognizes that Family Law litigation is highly emotional and deeply personal, and she is dedicated to striking that delicate balance between zealous advocacy and empathy. Family Law litigants transcend any socio-economic, race or gender classifications. Divorce, domestic violence, and issues concerning child custody affect everyone equally. Sarah appreciates that her clients are people, who, for the most part, have never been involved in any litigation, going through what is, arguably, the most difficult time in their lives--often being asked to support two households on an income that previously supported only one. To that end, it is important to Sarah to keep her rates reasonable, as compared to other Family Law practitioners, in order to make legal representation as accessible as possible. Sarah has also been a yoga instructor since 2000, and a spin instructor since 2004. Sarah incorporates her experience as an instructor into her lawyering style. Teaching has enabled Sarah to maintain calm even under the most rigorous of pressures. It has provided her with the invaluable opportunity to command the respect and attention of any group of individuals she addresses, and it is her nurturing nature that gravitated her, both, to teaching and to the practice of, specifically, Family Law. Sarah is committed to getting you and your family through this process as quickly and painlessly as possible, and she looks forward to meeting and working with you.

I’ve never really been a fan of Valentine’s Day (although I’m a HUGE fan of red glitter shoes, party dresses, and any excuse to dress up).

Valentine’s Day seems to be the one day when people feel obligated to buy overpriced flowers and chocolates, mostly because they fear that, if they don’t, they’ll have to face the wrath of their partners. The recipient of said flowers and chocolates eagerly posts about these gifts on social media, with the trite hashtags: or

None of these gestures or posts are indicative of the actual health of these relationships. However, these posts do make those single on Valentine’s Day feel bad. They shouldn’t. They’re not real. I’m of the opinion that the more one feels the need to post about his/her relationship on social media, the more unhealthy the relationship. Agree? Disagree?

So, today, instead of feeling bad, celebrate ALL love in your life—your friends, your family, your dog, your cat. If you’re single, focus your attention on doing the work to find a meaningful relationship, rather than allowing the pressure of one silly day to lead you to settle.

I often hear, “relationships are hard.” Respectfully, I disagree. Yes, the WRONG relationship is hard. But the RIGHT relationship is fulfilling and easy. Often times, we settle for any relationship, virtually guaranteeing that our lives will be difficult.

Before you enter into just any relationship be sure to:

• Address your own traumas and wounds. Understand the way these past experiences impact your choice in partner or the characteristics you are routinely attracted to in another.

• Know your value and your worth, so you don’t settle merely because someone gives you the love and attention you feel you don’t deserve. Not only do you deserve to love and be loved in a healthy way, but you need to truly believe these things in order to attract a partner who is worthy of you.

• Be discerning. There’s a difference between setting impossible or unrealistic standards and high standards.

The hard work you put in now will ensure that you don’t end up putting in the hard work for the rest of your life…or until you ultimately make the difficult decision to get divorced.

Valentine’s Day can be a deeply emotional and even a triggering day for many. The borage of red roses posted on social media (tritely hash tagged: and ), certainly don’t help.

Parading one’s relationships on social media is not indicative of a strong or healthy relationship. Often times, quite the contrary is true. Despite the pain some of these posts may cause you in the moment, remember, divorce is far more painful. Spending your life with someone who is not a true partner and teammate can and likely will lead to an unhappy life. DO NOT LET THE PRESSURE OF ONE DAY LEAD YOU TO SETTLE. DON’T FU$&*NG SETTLE FOR JUST ANY LIFE PARTNER!!!!! (Yes, I’m yelling).

Instead of feeling bad this Valentine’s Day, plan an epic celebration. Lean on your girlfriends. Here are a few ideas for an amazing Galentine’s Day party, which will be sure to leave you feeling fulfilled, empowered, and on the path to finding the RIGHT relationship for the RIGHT reasons. Cheers and stay strong! It’s hard, but worth the work.
