Our office was very pleased to represent you all at our annual Police appreciation lunch. We delivered a pizza meal from Simonneti's and some cupcakes from Small Cakes. The men and women on the force are always so grateful and taken back by the kindness of a meal. Such a simple token of gratitude for their protection of us each day.

The City of Belmont is notifying all residents and businesses that mandatory water use restrictions are now in effect following a Stage 2 Drought Declaration issued by the Catawba-Wateree Drought Management Advisory Group (CW-DMAG). I welcome May with much excitement. It is the best month of Spring with all the blooming flowers and warm days before we endure the scorching summer temperatures. A very important event this month is all the tomatoes being planted for picking in the next months. My bread, Duke's mayonnaise (yes, it must be Duke's), and seasoning is ready for this juicy delight. - Tammey
