Sixty years ago, our Vietnam veterans came home to a country that didn't always welcome them.⁣
⁣
This week, my daddy, Darrell Thomas, got the welcome home he deserved. ❤️🇺🇸⁣
⁣
I had the privilege of accompanying him to Washington, D.C., with Queen City Honor Flight. Watching him visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, reflect on his service, and be surrounded by so much love and gratitude is something I'll never forget.⁣
⁣
A special thank you to Queen City Honor Flight for honoring veterans across generations, and to our dear family friend Mike Stubbs, a fellow Vietnam veteran who continues serving others through his work with the organization.⁣
⁣
And thank you to for spending the day with us and helping share these important stories.⁣
⁣

✝️ ARE YOU WILLING TO STAND APART?⁣
⁣
Y’all, following Jesus was never supposed to be a popularity contest!⁣
⁣
We spend so much of our lives trying to fit in, keep everybody happy, and avoid rocking the boat. But somewhere along the way, we have to ask ourselves… are we trying harder to please the world than we are to follow Jesus?⁣
⁣
Matthew 3:12 reminds us that God separates the wheat from the chaff. That’s a pretty serious reminder that eternity matters a whole lot more than temporary approval.⁣
⁣
And listen, choosing Jesus doesn’t mean life suddenly gets easy. Sometimes it means losing relationships, walking away from old habits, and being the odd one out.⁣
⁣
But what you gain in Him? Mercy. Grace. Peace. And the promise of eternity. ❤️⁣
⁣
So here’s my question for you today:⁣
⁣
If following Jesus costs you the approval of people you love, are you still willing to follow Him?⁣
⁣
That’s a question worth sitting with, y’all. Because fitting in with the world isn’t worth losing sight of eternity.⁣
⁣
