Some of us have spent so much time staring at the darkness that we’ve forgotten what the light can do!

The news is loud. Politics are messy. Life is uncertain. And if we’re not careful, fear starts sounding more convincing than faith.

But darkness has never beaten light. Not once.

John 1 reminds us that the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness doesn’t understand it. Maybe that’s why people look at believers a little funny when we choose hope instead of panic, peace instead of chaos, and courage instead of fear.

Here’s the question:
Are you acting like you’re on the losing side… or the winning side?

Because if you belong to Jesus, you’re not sitting in the stands watching the battle. You’re called to be part of it.

So today, be the encourager. Be the light. Be the person who reminds others that darkness doesn’t get the final word.

What’s one place in your life where you need to stop focusing on the darkness and start trusting the light? 👇

Why do people buy things at AUCTION?

Some people are chasing a bargain. Some are looking for something specific. Me? I’m buying a ticket to a treasure hunt!

Recently, I bought a lot of old sheet music at auction. If you’re new to auctions, a “lot” means you get all the stuff together, and sometimes you have no clue what’s inside.

When I opened those boxes, I didn’t just find sheet music. I found little pieces of someone’s life. Notes scribbled in the margins. Songs that meant something to a family. A glimpse into a world that existed long before Google could answer every question.

The deals are real. The surprises are endless. And every once in a while, you uncover something you never knew you were looking for.

We’ve got a new auction and I wonder what treasure might be waiting for you? Check it out! https://www.auctionsoft.com/auction?v=G4LW16W6KWE5D8KE9

If you’re not from Cabarrus County, let me catch you up. Concord and Kannapolis have had a little “friendly” rivalry for a long time… and by friendly, I mean ask somebody about the old football games and watch what happens. 🏈

Concord was founded in 1796, Kannapolis became a city in 1984, and somewhere along the way I-85 became the unofficial line in the sand.

So for this week’s Market in a Minute, let’s talk about the Concord market:

▪️ 14 Coming Soon homes
Price range: $290,000–$1,795,000
No showings yet, but call me and we’ll get you ready.

▪️ 397 homes Available
Price range: $149,900–$1,950,000
There is something for a whole lot of budgets.

▪️ 237 homes Under Contract
Yes, Concord is moving.

So can you buy? Yep.
Can you sell? Also yep.
Should you have somebody who knows Cabarrus County, the backroads, the history, the traffic, and the market details? Absolutely.

This girl and my amazing team are glad to help. 👇

Today isn’t about the extra day off, the sales, or even the burgers on the grill.

Today is about remembering the men and women who wrote a check with their lives so the rest of us could live ours freely.

Some families woke up today carrying memories instead of making them. Some chairs remain empty. Some sacrifices never stop costing.

So while you’re enjoying the blessings of freedom today, take a moment to pause and remember the people who made those blessings possible.

Freedom has never been free.
❤️🤍💙

Some of y’all are carrying around the idea that if it isn’t perfect, it doesn’t count. Who told you that nonsense?

You can do hard things. Not all of them today. Not all of them perfectly. And not all of them with a shiny little winner’s trophy at the end.

Sometimes faith looks a lot less like standing on the mountaintop and a lot more like dragging yourself through “one more mile.” One more prayer. One more step. One more day.

Philippians 4:13 wasn’t permission to expect instant results. It was a reminder that strength comes when yours runs out.

God’s timeline has never once asked our opinion. 😏

So if today all you’ve got in you is one more mile? Keep going.

Because sometimes the breakthrough isn’t at mile one… it’s at mile “I almost quit.”

Check the comments.
What’s your “one more mile” right now? 👇

🏡 Parents… grandparents… gather up your babies (even if they’re grown babies) because today’s Market in a Minute is for the first-time buyers in Cabarrus County.

Y’all keep hearing, “Nobody can buy anymore.” The numbers say otherwise.

Right now under $300k:
▪️5 Coming Soon homes (translation: no showings yet, but my team can get you lined up)
▪️168 available properties ranging from $148,000–$300,000
▪️106 already under contract, averaging 43 days to find a buyer

And here’s the fun part… some of those homes have “sweat equity opportunity” written all over them. Fancy words for: bring your paintbrush and your vision board. 💪

Also, please for the love of all things real estate, connect with a LOCAL lender. Don’t go internet shopping at 2AM and end up in a mess. 😬

Buying? Selling? Helping the next generation put down roots? We live here, we love it here, and we’d love to help!

Happy Meck Dec Day!
Discover North Carolina's First Independence Movement!

🇺🇸 Wait a minute… y’all mean to tell me North Carolina was out here causing trouble BEFORE July 4th? 👀 Most of us grew up hearing about July 4, 1776. But North Carolina said, “Cute idea… we got started earlier.” 😏

Back on May 20, 1775, a determined bunch of folks right here in Mecklenburg County had already reached their limit with British rule and put together what became known as the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. Fourteen months before the Declaration of Independence we all learned about in school. And here’s another little piece of history: at that time, Cabarrus wasn’t yet its own county — it was still part of Mecklenburg County!

And here’s where it gets even more interesting… that fiery independent streak didn’t just appear out of nowhere. Men like Alexander Craighead, a passionate preacher and leader connected to Rocky River Presbyterian Church, were helping shape communities full of people who believed faith, freedom, and self-governance mattered.

Maybe that North Carolina attitude suddenly makes a little more sense now. 😂
Question for y’all: Did you already know what May 20, 1775 meant on the North Carolina flag… or did school leave that chapter out too?

And if you're thinking about moving here? – this area is still fantastic, full of great people, and I would be happy to help. You're going to love it here just as much as I do. Thanks for joining me on this historical journey today! 🇺🇸

Why Were People Fighting Over Storage Bins?!

One of the hottest items in a recent auction was… plastic storage bins. Auctions are unpredictable in the best way because buyers see value differently. What feels ordinary to you may be exactly what someone else has been searching for.
