Say:

The date, location, and police report number
Your claim number and your insurer’s name
“I’m not able to discuss that right now” for anything else

Don’t say:

“I’m fine” or “I’m okay.” Many injuries show up days later. Once you’ve said you’re fine, it’s on record.
Speeds, distances, or how many seconds anything took. Guessing wrong looks like lying later.
“Sorry” or anything that sounds like taking blame, even to be polite.
Yes to a recorded statement. You can decline, and you should until you’ve talked to a lawyer.
Yes to a quick settlement. First offers are low on purpose.

And get checked by a doctor even if you feel okay. “I didn’t go to the doctor” is the insurer’s favorite sentence.

Easy case, right? They hit you. You weren't even moving.
