MMH is expanding, and we’re excited to bring the positive and professional closing experience you know and trust to one of Georgia’s fastest-growing communities.

Our new Woodstock location is coming in early 2027, giving us another place to serve agents, clients, and partners throughout Cherokee County, Cobb County, and beyond.

Property tax appeals aren’t exactly dinner table conversation... until they affect your closing.

Here’s the quick version: If there’s a pending property tax appeal for the year the property is sold, it typically transfers to the buyer at closing.

But there are two situations where you’ll want to pay closer attention:
• The seller hasn’t filed the appeal yet (and still can).
• A prior year’s appeal is still pending.

Those scenarios may require additional stipulations in the contract to make sure everyone’s protected.

It’s a small detail that can have a big impact—which is why we’re always happy to help agents navigate the fine print before closing day.
