August is National Make-A-Will Month 📝

A Will is one of the most important documents you can have in place to make your wishes known and help protect the people you love.

Without a Will, or a plan in general, your estate may be distributed according to state law rather than according to your wishes.

This National Make-A-Will Month, take a moment to ask yourself: If something happened to me tomorrow, would my family know what I wanted?

If the answer is no, it may be time to start the conversation.

⚖️ Happy National Paralegal Day! ⚖️

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible paralegals who help keep law firms running smoothly and make a difference for clients every day.

And today, we’re especially grateful for our Shelly, our wonderful paralegal!

Shelly Lauzier plays an important role in supporting our attorneys, helping our clients, and keeping everything moving behind the scenes. Her organization, dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed make her an invaluable part of our team.

Thank you, Shelly, for everything you do! We’re so lucky you're our boss.

Wishing Shelly and all of the hardworking paralegals out there a very Happy National Paralegal Day!

Meet Mackenzie: Our Client Services & Enrollment Coordinator!

Mackenzie recently moved to Asheville from New York City, where she earned her MFA in Poetry from New York University. Having recently joined the firm, she works closely with prospective and current clients to ensure a welcoming enrollment experience. Mackenzie enjoys helping families feel informed and supported.

When she's not at Craig Associates, you can find Mackenzie spending time with her dogs, writing at the Dripolator Coffeehouse, or exploring Asheville. She loves traveling with her partner, visiting family and friends, going to art museums, attending concerts, and experimenting with film photography.

Meet Mary Rosas: Our Client Services & Funding Coordinator!

Although Mary has only been with the firm for a short time, she has already helped many of our clients complete their estate planning through the funding process.

Mary has a long background in finances working with banks; she loves this work so much that she is currently attending Western Governors University for a business degree focused on finance.

When Mary isn't working, you can find her with her husband Cristian, her dog Lexi, and her cat Garfield. If she isn't with them, she is watching her favorite TV show and crocheting!
