🚨 Major Immigration Court Decision

On June 5, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island vacated several USCIS policies that allowed the agency to place certain immigration benefit applications on hold.

The court found these policies to be unlawful, discriminatory, and beyond the agency’s authority under the Administrative Procedure Act (APA).

While this does not automatically approve pending cases, it could have important implications for applicants whose cases were delayed under these policies.
