You know you've been practicing law for far too long when a client gives you the phone number for their mortgage company to obtain the payoff statement, and you think ... "That doesn't appear right."

BTW, it wasn't. I looked it up to get the correct phone. After 30 years in the biz, I (sadly) can identify the right numbers vs. wrong ones for nearly any major lender.

Times are changing in the real estate industry.

For all real estate brokers, starting next Saturday, August 17th, you MUST have a signed Buyer's Agency Agreement for every offer you write.

Irrespective of it being a Buyer or Seller transaction, I will require a copy of the Agency Agreement with every contract you send to me.

My roof is being torn off and replaced today. The internet satellite dish must be temporarily removed, reinstalled, and repositioned. Therefore, it will affect my work capabilities at some points today.
