It was my absolute pleasure to participate in Law Day 2023! I had the opportunity to go to Chauncey H. Duker school in McHenry and loved every minute of my time there. From staff to teachers to students - I had an excellent experience! Today I received a packet of thank you notes from Mrs. Justen's Class and I am so joyful to read about the fun and learning I was able to participate in with these amazing students! Thank you for the thank yous! 💖 Elizabeth "Beth" Vonau

Have questions about the SAFE-T Act and how it impacts your driver’s license? Call (815) 444-8700 and ask to talk to attorney George Kililis.

George has been helping McHenry County drivers retain their driving privileges for 20 years!

Illinois no longer suspends a license for any ticket debt, fines, or fees. This change includes suspension and holds due to: parking tickets, vehicle compliance tickets, red-light camera tickets, automatic speed camera tickets, traffic tickets, and abandoned vehicle fees. These changes are due to the SAFE-T Act passed in January. The Act also reinstates driving privileges for those who have already had their driver’s license suspended/revoked for failing to pay red-light camera tickets , speed camera tickets, traffic tickets, and abandoned vehicle fees.

Residents can learn more about these reforms and find guides about getting their license back at: https://www.license2work.org/
