AGHS Legal Aid Cell in collaboration with the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) conducted a two-day training on the institutional response to sexual gender-based violence. The two day training encompassed the analysis of recent legislation including the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Domestic Violence Act, 2021 and the newly promulgated rules under the Anti-Rape Trial and Investigation Act of 2021. The training went into the core of gender sensitisation and evidentiary matters including delay of reporting and history of sexual character. Dr. Summaiya Tariq concluded the training by presenting her lecture on managing vicarious trauma for Judges dealing with SGBV cases.
