Cybercrime in the Light of Qur’an and Law
Cybercrime is not only a legal offence, it is also against the Islamic principles of privacy, honesty, dignity and trust.
The Qur’an warns us:
وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا
“جاسوسی نہ کرو”
Surah Al-Hujurat 49:12
وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِالْبَاطِلِ
“آپس میں ایک دوسرے کا مال ناحق نہ کھاؤ”
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:188
وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ
“جس بات کا علم نہ ہو، اس کے پیچھے نہ پڑو”
Surah Al-Isra 17:36
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ
“جو لوگ بے حیائی پھیلانا چاہتے ہیں، ان کے لیے سخت وعید ہے”
Surah An-Nur 24:19
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
“بے قصور مومن مردوں اور عورتوں کو تکلیف دینا بہتان اور کھلا گناہ ہے”
Surah Al-Ahzab 33:58

S.16 Unauthorized use of identity information

S.20 Offences against dignity of a natural person
S.21 Offences against modesty of a natural person and minor
S.24 Cyber stalking
S.24A Cyberbullying
S.25 Spamming
S.26 Spoofing
S.26A False and fake information
