We are deeply honoured to welcome Honourable Justice (R) Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, former Senior Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) Accredited Mediator, to MICADR’s Panel of Mediators and Panel of Arbitrators for complex and high-stakes domestic and international disputes.
Justice Shah has been one of the foremost judicial architects of Pakistan’s modern ADR and mediation movement. During his tenure as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, he led the region’s largest court-annexed mediation initiative, through which approximately 30,000 cases were referred to mediation across Punjab, with nearly 15,000 successfully resolved within a single year, a landmark institutional reform effort that demonstrated the transformative potential of mediation at scale.
Over more than sixteen years on the bench, Justice Shah’s jurisprudence consistently advanced constitutionalism, commercial justice, arbitration, institutional reform, and judicial modernisation. As Chair of Pakistan’s National Arbitration Law Committee, he also led the drafting of a modern arbitration framework aligned with the UNCITRAL: United Nations Commission on International Trade Law Model Law.
His association with MICADR represents not only an extraordinary addition to the Centre’s institutional strength, but also a continuation of the broader national movement toward efficient, principled, and globally credible dispute resolution in Pakistan.
The Centre is pleased to announce its association with Justice (R) Syed Mansoor Ali Shah as a member of MICADR’s Panel of Mediators as well as Panel of Arbitrators for complex and high-stakes domestic and international disputes.
Appointments are considered independently on a case-by-case basis, subject to conflict review, consent of parties, suitability of the matter, and mutually agreed professional terms.
