If you are a seafarer who was repatriated because of an accident/injury sustained onboard, or an illness contracted onboard, you must report to your company within 72 hours upon arrival in the Philippines.

Here are the benefits you are entitled to once you return home:

1️⃣ Free medication in the Philippines

Medical treatment for a seafarer with an onboard accident/injury or illness lasts 120 days. Under the new law, company doctors may extend treatment for another 120 days (4 months) if needed.

2️⃣ Salary & reimbursements

You will continue to receive your basic salary for 4 months while under medication.

You may also reimburse all transportation expenses related to your medical treatment.

3️⃣ SSS Sickness Benefits

You can also file for sickness benefits under SSS.

📌 After your treatment ends, your insurance provider will call you for a disability grading. However, the offer from insurance is usually much lower than what you may be entitled to if you file for a disability claim.

👉 Seafarers who are union members or covered by a CBA (such as TCC, JSU, NIS, ITF, AMOSUP, etc.) are entitled to even more benefits.

📍 If you or someone you know has already finished treatment, declared fit to work, but still suffers from health problems, you may still consult with me. Often, companies make seafarers wait with promises of re-embarkation, but delay their deployment.

🎯ATTENTION SEAFARERS ‼️ 👷⚓🌊🚢

Kung ikaw ay:
Repatriated o pinababa ng barko contracted to (illness), (injury) or (accident) or (missile attack) even death while on onboard.

Tatlo po ang tunay na Benepisyo ng mga Seafarer.

UNA , ipapagamot ang seaman ng libre na kailangang makapagreport sa company within 72hours. (medical repatriated or finish contract)

PANGALAWA, Tatanggap ang seaman ng basic allowance o sickness allowance ng apat na buwan (120 days) habang ginagamot sa hospital at base narin po ito sa pinirmahan nya sa POEA contract.

PANGATLO, kapag ang seaman ay hindi lubos na gumagaling sa loob ng 120 days o umabot sa 240 days sa karamdaman nya due to illness or injury made by accident, ang seaman ay ENTITLED na sa DISABILITY BENEFITS, ang may obligasyon na dapat mag bayad sa kanya ay walang iba kung di ang main insurance o ang kanyang P.&.I club "protection and indemnity."

📣Ngunit karaninwang hindi naibibigay ang tamang halaga sa mga seafarers!

✅A seaman has more benefits if he is union member or may CBA ang kanyang barkong sinasakyan like TCC,JSU,NIS,ITF,AMOSUP. etc.

⚠️The earlier you consult a Maritime Lawyer, the better chances of getting your disability benefits and assistance.

PS: Sa mga na FIT TO WORK NA po at pinapaasa nang company na papasakayin pa at tumagal na ng ilang buwan. Maaari po namin kayong matulungan sa pag claim nang inyong DISABILITY BENIFITS. Basta kumpleto pa po ang mga hawak nyong dokumento katulad ng inyong mga medical records international man o dito na sa pilipinas at mga company documents nyo tulad ng seamans book, passport , contract etc..
