The Shah Alam Family High Court 1 granted our Client's application to set aside an ex parte order for leave to commence committal proceedings involving an alleged claim of almost RM200,000 of maintenance.

In addition, the Court ordered that damages suffered by our Client to be assessed and awarded costs of RM5,000, payable within 30 days of the service of the Order.

The Court was successfully convinced to order security for costs of RM10,000 to be paid within 14 days, failing which the appeal will be struck out, together with costs of RM5,000 (subject to allocatur) to our Clients. This order will provide some financial security to our Clients should the appeal be decided in their favour in the future.
