　入管難民法改正に伴う新たな外国人の在留管理制度の７月開始を控え、教育現場に不安が広がっている。在留資格がない子どもが不就学に陥る懸念が高まっているからだ。新制度では外国人登録を廃止。このため在留資格がなくても自治体に外国人登録することで学齢期の子どもに届いた就学通知がなくなる。政府はこれまで同様、在留資格がない子どもを学校に受け入れる方針だが、関係者は「不就学が確実に増えるだろう」と指摘している。
