【Event Report】wagaya Connect vol.2: Job Hunting × International Exchange!
On Sunday, December 21, 2025, we held

“Career Christmas Party! Job Hunting × International Exchange at wagaya Connect” in Akihabara 🎄✨
This event was designed especially for international students preparing to start their job search in Japan. In a festive Christmas atmosphere, we delivered a special program that combined career support with international exchange.

▼ Main Program: Roundtable Talk on Real Workplace Experiences
Members of our HR team and foreign employees currently working in Japan took the stage to share their experiences.

Participants were able to hear firsthand, real-life insights from the workplace—stories that are rarely shared at typical events.
Key topics included:

・Challenges faced when working in Japan and how to overcome cultural and business differences
・Tips on turning a multicultural background into a strength
・What recruiters actually look for during the hiring process

The participants were highly engaged, and the Q&A session was especially lively, with many specific questions about self-promotion and motivation statements, creating a dynamic and enthusiastic atmosphere.
We also covered a timely topic: an explanation of the My Number Health Insurance Card. As this information directly affects daily life in Japan, participants listened attentively.

After the roundtable discussion, we held a Christmas networking session that went beyond boundaries of schools and nationalities.

Participants with shared goals and concerns exchanged information, built new connections, and the venue was filled with smiles throughout the event.

✨ Yesterday we hosted our very first Wagaya Connect event at the beautiful Kiyosumi Garden (清澄庭園) ✨

Kiyosumi Garden is a traditional Japanese strolling garden with a rich history, once part of the residence of feudal lords during the Edo period. Surrounded by ponds, stepping stones, and seasonal nature, it offered the perfect backdrop to connect and share ideas.

After our garden walk, we visited the historic Ryoutei House (料亭ハウス) where we experienced Japanese tradition at its finest:
🖌️ Writing kanji on fans
🍡 Eating delicious dango
🍵 Drinking handmade matcha
🌸 Fully immersing ourselves in Japanese culture together
