Shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a young life in Mumbai, reportedly after an assault over language on a CSMT local train. Such acts of violence are unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms. No one should face intimidation or harm for speaking their language — be it Gujarati, Hindi, or any North Indian tongue.We must stand united against hate and ensure respect for every community’s language and identity. The mental agony and trauma inflicted on minorities due to linguistic intolerance cannot be ignored. Authorities must act decisively against the perpetrators to send a clear message: There is zero tolerance for such divisive acts.
