CBDT Extends ITR & Tax Audit Due Dates for AY 2026–27

CBDT, through its Press Release dated 28 September 2026, has announced an extension of key compliance deadlines for taxpayers subject to audit:
✅ Tax Audit Report: 30 September 2026 → 21 October 2026
✅ Income Tax Return: 31 October 2026 → 21 November 2026

A formal order/notification will be issued separately.
