🇮🇱❤️ American Jewish Billionaire Donates $30 Million to Transform Medical Education in Israel
American Jewish philanthropist Steven H. Lavin and his family foundation are contributing $30 million to establish an advanced medical education center at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The ambitious initiative aims to transform how future doctors are trained, combining artificial intelligence, personalized mentoring and advanced medical simulations.
The university hopes the new approach will eventually help double its medical student enrollment while improving the quality of training.
The broader project represents a planned investment of $90 million over ten years, with its first pilot scheduled for January 2027.
The initiative also seeks to address Israel’s growing shortage of physicians.
Beyond its financial significance, the donation reflects the enduring connection between American Jewish philanthropy and Israeli scientific and medical innovation.
An extraordinary investment in the next generation of Israeli doctors.
