A great start to the day at the FTG Careers Fair.

We're delighted to be here and it's a privilege to support an event that brings together serving personnel, service leavers, veterans, and employers.

As specialists in medical discharge and medical downgrade support, we're on hand throughout the day to answer questions and provide guidance.

We look forward to meeting members of the Armed Forces community and discussing how we can help support their transition journey.

Come and find us for a chat if you're attending today.

As a former Royal Air Force Medic, Dean Phillips, our Armed Forces Lead, has first-hand experience of the pressures of military service. The expectation to keep going, push through pain, and never let the team down is deeply rooted in Armed Forces culture.

While this mindset builds resilience and determination, it can also mean injuries are ignored, support is delayed, and long-term health impacts are overlooked.

In our latest article, Dean shares his reflections on the culture of "pushing through" and the hidden cost it can carry for those who serve.

On Best Friend Day, we recognise the strength of bonds built through service.

In the Armed Forces, camaraderie goes far beyond friendship — it becomes trust, loyalty, and shared experience. And importantly, these relationships don’t end when service does; they continue long after leaving the military.

At Veterans Welfare Group, we are committed to carrying that same spirit forward. We focus on building lasting community and meaningful relationships that support service leavers and veterans as they transition into civilian life.

Because no one should navigate that journey alone.

It was a privilege to attend the Charity Ball hosted by the Foundation, celebrating the remarkable achievement of 's world-first Disabled Explorers Grand Slam.

Martin's determination, resilience, and leadership have inspired so many, successfully completing the world's first Disabled Explorers Grand Slam by summiting the Seven Summits and reaching both the North and South Poles. Along the way, he has also raised vital funds to support the incredible work of the Foundation.

The evening was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when perseverance meets purpose, and of the impact that collective support can have in creating opportunities for others.

A huge thank you to Centurion Chartered Financial Planners for the invitation and for supporting such an inspiring event. It was an honour to be part of a celebration recognising an extraordinary achievement and the positive difference it continues to make.
