Veterans Welfare Group is a support hub for military personnel, and their families, bringing together a network of professionals providing advice and guidance, especially to those impacted by long-term injury. Our members have the skills and expertise in providing financial, legal, employment, educational, housing and rehabilitation support whilst understanding the complexities of various types of injury and how this affects everyday life. Our dedicated in-house support team are here listen to your concerns and ensure that we can help you every step of the way.

No two experiences of the armed forces are identical, and neither are the challenges that can come with them.

Struggles can manifest as physical or psychological. They can occur throughout service, during the transition into civvy street or a little later in life as a veteran.

Noise-induced hearing loss remains one of the most common service-related injuries among UK service personnel and veterans. Exposure to weapons systems, aircraft, machinery and more can have lasting effects that go on beyond service.

It's official ⭐ Dean Phillips has been named Role Model of the Year at the 2026 English Veterans Awards 🏆 👏

This award is a fitting recognition of the time, care and commitment he has given to service members, leavers and veterans. Dean has dedicated countless hours to helping others navigate the medical downgrade and discharge process, ensuring that service leavers have reassurance and support beyond their service.

His work is built on genuine care for people and a belief that nobody should have to face challenges alone. We're incredibly proud to see his dedication recognised on such a deserving stage. Congrats, Dean!

From conferences and transition days to a touch of charity golf, we've had the chance to get involved with and speak to many of you.

Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting an important networking event with Centurion Chartered Financial Planners in Manchester, bringing together members of the Veteran Welfare Group and the wider community.

The event provided an opportunity to raise awareness of vulnerability among veterans, share knowledge and experiences, and build new connections to better understand how we can all play a role in supporting veterans who may be struggling or vulnerable.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a valuable evening. We’d also like to thank St Johns Buildings Barristers'​ Chambers for providing the space and hospitality, creating the perfect environment for meaningful conversations and networking.

It was fantastic to see so many organisations and individuals coming together with a shared commitment to supporting our veteran community. 🤝
