What should you expect from your first appointment with Anvoner Law?

For some people, making that first appointment with a solicitor can feel like a big step, particularly when the conversation involves family, finances or planning for the future.

You don't need to know the right legal terminology, and you don't need to have all the answers before you arrive.

We'll listen, understand your circumstances and talk you through your options in plain English, so you leave knowing what happens next.

Sometimes starting the conversation is the most important step.

If you own a business, have you thought about what would happen if you suddenly couldn't make decisions?

A personal Property and Financial Affairs LPA doesn't necessarily mean the same Attorneys should, or can, manage your business interests.

For some business owners, putting separate arrangements in place allows them to choose people with the right experience and understanding to deal with their business affairs.

It's an area of planning that's easily overlooked.

If you couldn't run your business tomorrow, who would be able to step in?

Making a Will is only part of the process.

Keeping it somewhere safe, while making sure the right people know where to find it, is just as important.
If you're unsure where your original Will is stored, or whether it's time to review it, we're here to help.

Many people ask whether they have to tell their family they're making a Will.
The answer is no.

Your Will is your decision.

Some people choose to discuss their wishes, while others prefer to keep them private.

For parents, one of the most important parts of a Will can be choosing who would care for their children if the unexpected happened.

It's never an easy conversation, but it can provide enormous peace of mind.

Leaving a gift to charity in your Will is a meaningful way to support causes close to your heart.

Whether large or small, every gift can make a difference while still ensuring your loved ones are provided for.

Have you ever thought about the legacy you'd like to leave?

We're so pleased to have been able to support the Potters Grange annual BBQ and contribute a prize towards their fundraising for Alzheimer's Society.

It was a fantastic day, bringing together residents, families and staff for some well-deserved fun, with an amazing amount raised for such an important cause.

A huge well done to everyone involved, and thank you to Potters Grange for letting us play a small part in such a special community event. 💙

One of the biggest myths is that you only need a Will if you own property.

In reality, a Will allows you to make decisions about much more than your home.
It's about protecting the people and things that matter to you.

Many homeowners assume their share of the family home will automatically pass to their spouse or partner.

In reality, it depends on how the property is legally owned.

Understanding the difference can make a significant difference to your estate planning.
