A Lamborghini went airborne and crashed into the median of Highway 403 in Brantford after allegedly racing a motorcyclist on a rural road. 🚗💥

Police say the motorcycle stopped in a cul-de-sac and fled the scene, while the Lamborghini continued onto the highway before the crash. The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. 🏥

A 26-year-old motorcyclist from Paris, Ont. has been arrested and is facing impaired driving charges. 🚔

A driver has died in a Toronto trauma centre after being struck while standing outside his parked vehicle on the shoulder of Highway 401. Emergency crews originally responded to the two-vehicle collision on Saturday morning in the eastbound lanes near Port Hope. Investigators believe the victim had pulled over and exited his car when a passing vehicle struck both him and his parked vehicle.

The individual was rushed to a local hospital before being airlifted to Toronto with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene following the crash, and no other injuries have been reported. Ontario Provincial Police have since reopened the highway and are actively seeking witnesses or dashcam footage to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The Bobcaygeon community is coming together to morn the loss of a teenager killed in a collision on County Road 49 over the weekend.

16-year-old Briannah "Bri" Sabovitch of Bobcaygeon passed away on May 30, 2026, according to an obituary released by Mackey Funeral Home.

Sabovitch was killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday evening at the intersection of County Road 49 and Burys Green Road in Bobcaygeon.

The collision happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. on May 30. The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP previously confirmed that a 16-year-old female driver from Bobcaygeon was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital and later airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

The obituary identifies the victim as Briannah "Bri" Sabovitch, who was born on September 18, 2009.

The collision remains under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police. Investigators have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident to contact police.
