Network. Develop. Contribute. Young Women in Law is a membership organization for women called to the bar up to 10 years in Ontario, Canada.

YWL aims to promote young female lawyers by providing its members with leadership building seminars, career coaching and networking opportunities. YWL acknowledges challenges that are faced by young female lawyers, and aims to address those challenges in a pro-active, productive and engaging manner. YWL aims to actively interact and dialogue with the legal community. YWL also aims to give back to the broader community through charity giving and by promoting volunteerism. Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation—a day to honour the survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and acknowledge the lasting impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous Peoples.

Truth comes from learning and listening to Indigenous voices and histories. Reconciliation calls on all of us to turn that understanding into meaningful action. 🧡
