Sholdas & Associates Secures Major WSIB Settlement for Injured Worker

Sholdas & Associates is pleased to announce
our largest case settlement since the practise began in 2002

On August 5 / 25, after a lengthy appeals process WSIB granted our client full benefits from 2002 to present, and through to age 65.

Our client was awarded a settlement just shy of:
$550,000.00
in lost wages due to a workplace injury.

Fall Prevention Month is here. With this in mind, here are a few common hazards to look out for that can be found in your house, on your property, and city or private property.

1) Slippery surfaces, such as grease and spills of wet or dry substances.
2) Seasonal slip, trip and fall hazards, like snow and ice.
3) Changes in walkway levels and slopes or debris in walkways.
4) Poor lighting.
5) Poorly maintained or improperly used equipment, like ladders.

Being mindful of potential hazards is one of the first ways to prevent them. Stay safe, everyone!

THE WSIB IS A COMPLETE MESS !!!!

Before and during this current pandemic Injured workers have and continue to suffer greatly with very poor claims decisions. At times it appears there has been Intentional denial of workers claims to avoid paying benefits during the most challenging times as we continue to struggle during this Covid – 19 Pandemic .

We understand the challenges of working from home during this time yet WSIB staff are making some of the most outrageous decisions to date which have had tremendous negative impacts on workers and their families.
