A lot of people assume settlement delays are always caused by the bank.
Sometimes they are.

𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 documents haven't been signed, conditions haven't been met, issues are picked up during final inspections, or finance approval takes longer than expected.

Most of the work happening behind the scenes is simply making sure everything is lined up properly before settlement day arrives.

But there’s actually a fair bit going on in between.

𝙊𝙣 𝙖 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙚, 𝙄’𝙢:

NSW is currently trialing a new digital rental bond system that could make moving house a whole lot easier for tenants.

Instead of waiting for one bond to be refunded before paying the next one, the new system aims to allow eligible renters to transfer their bond from one property straight to another.
