One more wedding to round off 2025 tomorrow at Cumnock, it has been another big year with weddings in Dubbo, Wellington, Toongi, Comobella, Bodangora and Obley. I have also done funerals in Dubbo, Narromine and Coonamble this year, averaging about one every fortnight. It gives me great pleasure to be able to help families through the toughest of times, and giving families and friends a service that hopefully leaves everyone in a more comfortable space in the grieving process.

Weddings are a time for happiness and lasting memories, and the wedding I perform tomorrow will be a very special one, and I am looking forward to it very much.

🏆 Congratulations to the Winner of the Roy Butler MP, Independent Member for Barwon Small Business Award, Macquarie Home Stay!

Macquarie Home Stay of Dubbo (MHS) is committed to transforming regional healthcare access and wellbeing. MHS is a not-for-profit accommodation facility that supports patients and families from across rural and regional NSW who travel for medical treatment. Entirely self-funded, MHS reduces the emotional and financial strain of accessing healthcare by offering affordable, compassionate accommodation. Since opening, MHS has hosted over 13,000 bed nights annually, raised more than $600,000 through community fundraising, and engaged over 300 volunteers through programs like Friends of MHS and its guest concierge service. Their 2025 completion of the CWA of NSW Guesthouse, a 26-room facility supporting cancer patients, earned a Master Builders Association Award.

I am very proud to have made the Top Ten Celebrants in the Central West Region Wedding Industry Awards for the 7th year in a row. Final placings are being announced on August 12, 2025, so now just wait and see how I go. A very big THANK YOU to all of the couples who nominated or voted for me.

It doesn't seem like twelve months since the last Central West Wedding Industry Awards called for nominations and voting for vendors in all of the different categories, yet here we are again.

Exciting News: The 2025 WEDDING INDUSTRY AWARDS™ Are Back in CENTRAL WEST NSW for the 8th YEAR!!!

VOTING HAS OPENED for Peter Woodward Celebrancy Services in the Category of Civil Marriage Celebrant. As I have been a finalist every year since I became a Celebrant, I would like to encourage any of my great couples that have married since 30th April, 2024, to show their support for me.

I want to take the time to thank all of my couples, and families, that that I have worked with during 2024. It has been another big year with weddings and funerals, and once again I have travelled fairly well to help everyone, including day trips to Brewarrina, the Hunter Valley, Binnaway, Obley, Toongi, Geurie and Wongarbon, plus all of the ones closer to home at Lazy River Estate, Rhino lodge, Taronga Western Plains Zoo and 's Bush Retreat, Victoria Park and the Shoyoen Japanese Gardens and Cadagi Farm - Central West NSW, as well as other venues.
Thank you for choosing me, and for all of the couples who have already booked with me for 2025 and 2026, I wish you all a great Christmas and New Year

Feeling very blessed and excited tonight as the 2024 presentations for the Central West NSW Wedding Industry Awards were announced. I have been awarded with Highly Commended which is in fact, 2nd Place. Added to that I am the highest placed Celebrant from Dubbo. Our Region extends from Lithgow in the East to Cobar in the West, Coonabarabran in the North and Forbes/Cowra in the South.

I can't thank my couples who voted for me enough, this award even gives me an invitation to the Australian Wedding Industry Awards which will be held on Melbourne next year in February, if I decide to pursue that opportunity. There is a much different approach to how these awards are decided, but that decision can be made soon.

In the meantime, I have many couples to help through the wedding process in the next twelve months, and I hope to give them the same level of service and help that I have given to the couples who voted for me in this year's awards.
