Recently, our own Sam Johnson had an opportunity to showcase our employment law expertise at the Employment Law and Workplace Relations Masterclass, hosted by Crown Leadership International Group.

Sam presented on safeguarding confidential information, working through what employers can practically do to protect proprietary information, where the line sits between poor judgement and conduct serious enough to justify dismissal, and what options are actually available when something goes wrong.

Last week we opened our doors to small and family businesses from across South Australia, as venue and catering sponsor of the ABRT 'Resilience in Business' networking evening as part of Small Business Week and the COSBOA roadshow.

We act for business owners at all stages of the business lifecycle every day. A room full of people talking openly about mental health, staying afloat, and having the courage to seek support when business gets tough is a room worth putting together. Last week we hosted our second FBA Advisor Connect for the year. Industry expert Charles Galayini from GSA Insurance Brokers was our guest speaker, providing an overview of the current insurance market and highlighting some key insurance considerations for family business advisors.

Charles delivered an engaging presentation which covered key insurable risks at every stage of business and demonstrated how a business’ insurance needs can change and evolve through growth and expansion.

Last week, we partnered with Hall Chadwick to host a forum on the challenges of the dynamic insolvency landscape in 2026, with professionals from some of Australia’s leading financial institutions.
