Not a False Alarm - SARS Begins Trust Penalty Enforcement!

The trust compliance deadline of 4 May 2026 has come and gone, and SARS has started actively issuing administrative non-compliance penalty notices to non-compliant trusts.

Where a trust has outstanding tax filings and has received a final demand - this now triggers automatic monthly penalties in line with a public notice by the Commissioner, and the longer the delay, the higher the cost. This is no longer a warning - it is enforcement.

On 20 March, our team took to the water (and the sidelines!) for the FFG Group Annual Boat Race. While the competition was tough, our team’s creativity was tougher.

When asked to select a theme and create a custom braai broodjie, we decided to take it literally. How do you get more original than dressing up as an actual braai broodjie? 🍞🧀
