π’ U.S. Immigration Update: Proposed Revocation of Select B1/B2 Visas
The U.S. State Department and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are planning to revoke up to 200,000 visitor and business visas.
Here is what you need to know:
πΉ Who is affected: Individuals who entered the U.S. on B1 (Business) or B2 (Tourist) visas issued between 2016 and 2026 and later applied for asylum.
πΉ Status of Deportation: A visa revocation does not automatically trigger immediate deportation. Those with pending asylum claims will retain their open cases, but will lose their legal B1/B2 visitor status.
πΉ Rollout: Revocations will take place on a rolling basis as records are reviewed.
π‘ If you or your family members are currently navigating U.S. visa or asylum processes, we strongly recommend consulting with a licensed immigration attorney to understand how these potential changes may impact your specific situation.
