Expanding South Africa's e-Visa system: More visa types and countries to be included! 🌍
✅ Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi announced the expansion of South Africa's e-Visa systems.
✅ The e-Visa system will be developed and expanded to include more visa types and countries.
✅ Travellers will be able to apply and process their visas conveniently from home.
✅ The expansion aims to support President Cyril Ramaphosa's investment drive and boost the economy.
✅ 20 additional non-visa-exempt countries will be included in the e-Visa platform.
✅ New visa types, such as business, study, work, and intra-company transfers, will be added.
✅ The department faced challenges with slow network speeds, resulting in backlogs, but improvements have been made.
✅ South Africa is working to attract critical skills but faces difficulties with visa processing backlogs.
✅ The goal of processing 90% of critical skills visas in 2023 may be unattainable.
