Kane was the Executive Director for eight years of a private post-secondary school, which prepared students for jobs in the computer and business fields. After attending law school at night while working full time, she became an Assistant District Attorney in Lackawanna County (Scranton), Pennsylvania where she prosecuted domestic violence and sexual assault cases. In 1997, she went into private l
aw practice in Scranton and Philadelphia. Kathleen has represented personal injury clients in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts since that time. Kane has also represented those who have been denied Social Security Disability Benefits since 1997. After moving to Massachusetts, she expanded her practice at a small firm to include Family Law, Bankruptcy, and other civil litigation cases. Attorney Kane attended Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and obtained a B.S. She then attended Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, and graduated cm laude with a J.D in 1993. A respected national disability advocate, Kathleen is a supporter of The Marfan Foundation and has been a volunteer of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Marfan Foundation since 2002. She works tirelessly as an advocate for the disabled as evidenced by her presentations and workshops on Social Security Disability at the Annual International Marfan Conference, The Ehlers Danlos Society, Ehlers Danlos National Foundation, The Ataxia Foundation, Stickler Involved People, Dysautonomia Support Network, and many more nonprofit organizations nationally.
