Fullerton Beck LLP is pleased to welcome its 2026 Summer Associates, Alexandra Auguste (St. John’s University School of Law) and Adrian Jubran (Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law).

Alexandra and Adrian will participate in the firm’s 10-week Summer Associate Program, gaining hands-on experience across general liability, construction, and appellate/complex motion practices. Throughout the summer, they will contribute to meaningful assignments, including drafting motions, conducting legal research, and observing depositions, court appearances, and mediations. They will also participate in the firm's summer socials.

Congratulations to Fullerton Beck’s all-star team, Jaymie L. Einhorn, Edward J. Guardaro, Jr., and Brandon Berkowski, on securing summary judgment, affirmed on appeal, on behalf of an ambulance company in a case arising from the interfacility transport of a psychiatric patient for ECT. The court held that EMTs are not authorized or trained to independently assess psychiatric risk and may not restrain a patient absent a physician’s order, rejecting speculative and unsupported expert opinions.

This was a true team effort: Jaymie drafted the summary judgment motion; Ed prepared the appellate brief; and Brandon argued the appeal before the Appellate Division, First Department. Great job team!

Alison O’Dwyer, Chair of Fullerton Beck LLP’s Medical Malpractice Group, will serve as a panelist at the AHRMNY Full Day Conference on June 5, 2026, at City Winery, NYC.

The panel, “Unpacking Burnout in the Emergency Room: Its Impact on Physicians, the Care Environment and Potential Solutions,” will examine emergency department burnout through both medical and legal perspectives. Joining Alison on the panel will be Sasha Sagalovich, Assistant Vice President at Gallagher Bassett, and Lara Vanyo, M.D., Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and moderator Christie Nunn, Assistant Vice President and Claims Counsel at Sompo International.

Fullerton Beck and our Medical Malpractice Group were proud to support Mount Sinai South Nassau, a valued client and vital healthcare provider in our community, through its 42nd Annual Golf Tournament. This year’s outing raised $772,000 (gross) to help expand advanced cardiac care on the South Shore, including access to open heart surgery. We are honored to stand alongside Mount Sinai South Nassau in supporting care that truly changes lives for patients and their families. Community partnership and client support are central to who we are, and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important cause.
