Today, we honor Juneteenth—a day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration of freedom, resilience, and progress.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

As we recognize this important day in our nation's history, we also acknowledge the importance of preserving legacies, protecting families, and creating a future built on opportunity and security for generations to come.

In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed on Friday, June 19th. We will reopen and resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22nd.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Juneteenth as we honor the past and continue building toward a brighter future.
