🎉 **Catherine Hensley and Grace Ann Green did something this week that most family lawyers never do.**

They completed the eight-day Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute at the National Family Law Trial Institute, and we could not be prouder.

For eight days straight, Catherine and Grace Ann were on their feet in a working courtroom. They conducted direct and cross-examinations. They delivered opening statements and closing arguments. And every step of the way, they were filmed, stopped, critiqued, and asked to do it again by some of the most accomplished trial lawyers in the country.

There is no ballroom. No comfortable seat in the back row. Just a witness stand, a faculty member with a notepad, and the relentless, exhausting, irreplaceable work of getting better at something hard.

Here is what makes this matter for the families we serve:

✔️ Law school does not teach trial skills. The actual craft of trying a case, handling exhibits, cross-examining hostile witnesses, and telling a clear story to a judge, has to be learned somewhere else. The vaste majority of lawyers never seek that somewhere else out. Catherine and Grace Ann did.
