Tonight, Attorney Melissa (Mimi) Petro (partner of the firm) and fellow Pima County lawyer Lisa Ann Smith were awarded the 2026 Deb Elkins Award for Volunteer of the Year by the Pima County Bar Foundation at the Foundation’s Annual Gala for their service in co-chairing the Legal Community Against Hunger (“LCAH”). LCAH is an initiative that partners with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to raise funds and awareness against hunger.

A legend has retired!

John J. Brady officially retired after 46 years of practice (the last 40 years at the Udall Law Firm). John served individual clients, small businesses and charitable organizations in commercial transactions, estate planning, probate, real estate and general business matters. The legal community, his clients and our firm all benefited from John’s legal guidance, mentorship, support, friendship and wisdom over the last four decades.

We wish John some well-deserved rest and relaxation as he embarks on the next chapter of his life! Congratulations John!

72 years ago today, D.B. "Burr" Udall joined the firm as a law clerk. He was subsequently admitted to the Bar in March 1954. At age 97, Burr continues come into the office everyday and share his knowledge and legal expertise. Can anyone else say they've worked at the same place for 72 years?
