Southern Arizona Home Builders Association

Directions Website

Southern Arizona Home Builders Association SAHBA advocates for public policies and develops activities and services that further the home construction industry. The population boomed.

Connect with members and supporters of SAHBA, see who is attending SAHBA events, share industry information, and discuss current issues that impact home building in southern Arizona. These increase housing opportunity and choice in Tucson and Southern Arizona. After World War II, Tucson became a highly desirable place to live. Demand for homes attracted construction companies from outside of Southern Arizona. That was concern to some local builders, as was the practice of some home building projects using non-union labor. Wilson and the other SAHBA founders felt they needed a strong, unified voice at the city, county and state level. Their efforts not only created that voice, but established a strong, active organization that serves the community. Since 1952, SAHBA members have helped Tucson grow and thrive by providing opportunities to own a home. See how we’ve built communities over the years.
