The exhibition “Yoichi Okamoto: Photographer in the Service of Democracy” recently opened at Art in the Atrium, 201 E. Washington Street in Syracuse . Curated by Hans Petschar, Ph.D., the exhibition features the photography of Yoichi Okamoto and is on view now through November 15.

The programming continues this Saturday, October 3 at 12 p.m., at the Everson Museum of Art, with a screening of Yoichi’s White House, a film by Eric Elgison. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion, “Photography, Journalism & Democracy.”

For married New Yorkers with taxable estates, a Spousal Lifetime Access Trust, or SLAT, can offer a powerful estate planning opportunity.

In his latest article, Founding Member David Holstein explains how SLATs can help couples reduce potential estate tax exposure, move future appreciation outside of the taxable estate, and preserve indirect access to transferred assets through a spouse.
