Two days. Three speeches. More nerves than I’d like to admit.
This week I had the opportunity to attend LOAR’s “Drop the Mic” leadership and public speaking class in Tulsa. Standing in front of a room and giving three speeches in two days was definitely outside my comfort zone, but growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone.
We spent the first day at the historic Campbell Hotel on Route 66 and the second day at The Gathering Place, learning how to communicate more effectively, lead with confidence, and connect with people in a meaningful way. We even wrapped up with a team scavenger hunt that challenged us to think differently about growth, inclusion, balance, and identifying hidden dangers.
Along the way, we enjoyed lunch at Mother Road Market, rode the musical bikes, shared a lot of laughs, and built relationships with some incredible REALTORS® from across Oklahoma.
Whether you’re choosing a REALTOR® or looking for a brokerage that invests in its agents, professional development matters. The more we learn, the better we serve our clients, our communities, and our industry.
I’m grateful for the opportunity, proud of the growth, and excited to put these new skills to work.
And if you haven’t visited The Gathering Place, Mother Road Market, or stayed at the Campbell Hotel, add them to your list. Tulsa has some gems worth exploring.
