SCAM ALERT: a family member of mine just received the below by text message. This is a scam!

Except in very, very rare circumstances, Oklahoma courts WILL NOT communicate with you by text message. A legitimate traffic or toll violation notice for a violation caught on camera would be mailed to the address of record for the vehicle owner. All other violations would be issued to you in person by a police officer. Other signs to alert you that this is a scam: (1) there is no offender name anywhere on it; and (2) you cannot look up the case number on OSCN.net, which is the official website for Oklahoma district courts.

I'm thinking about doing a "lunch & learn" series for local business owners & whoever wants to attend on topics that interest folks. I'd provide lunch & we'd set aside a lunch hour (noon to 1sh) to talk about your questions on the law & how it would affect folks. Topics to include formation of business entities & why it matters, limitation of business liabilities, estate planning, and so on. Please comment & let me know if you'd be interested.
