Proposition 37 would establish a down payment assistance program to help eligible middle-income Californians purchase newly constructed homes. Eligible buyers, with as little as 3% down, may borrow up to 17% of the purchase price of a new home, overcoming the upfront cost of buying a home in California and making homeownership more attainable.
