RISE Inspired by RIE®. My name is Shannon Carr. I am a parent, early childhood specialist, parent-child group facilitator, and advocate for children and families.

RISE offers parent-child classes for children 6 weeks - 30 months that encourages babies to be authentic, attentive, and emotionally and socially supportive to one another while giving parents lifelong tools to foster these attributes. I have been in the field of Early Childhood for almost 25 years. In that time I have had the opportunity to be a part of many families' lives as carer of children,

teacher and mentor for adults, parent educator, child advocate, and parent (my favorite and most challenging role). Along the way I fell in love with a way of being with children called Educaring® which includes being with children in an authentic, trusting, respectful kind of way, without judgement. See rie.org or Janetlansbury.com for more information. I learned through my studies and experiences that the way we life early on, strongly impacts every other area of your being for the rest of your life. This is when I created RISE. RISE gives me the opportunity to provide strength to families during those most critical years. At RISE we offer monthly Network Meetings for all to attend, Parent-Child Groups for children 6 weeks - 30 months, and classes for expectant families. Please reach out to me anytime with any thoughts, questions, or ideas you may have. I love to connect and partner. Together we can make this world a better place for children and families.

I am looking for a space to facilitate Parent-Child Classes in St. Louis. I have a couple leads but want to see if there are any other options out there. This is one of the spaces I had in the past.
Yoga studios, empty spaces in early childhood programs, an empty event space?
I have classes 2-4 times monthly for families and their 0-3 year olds.
Here is more information about my classes: https://www.risechild.com/classes-and-registration
Please reach out if you know of anything.

Did you know?

Research from the Pikler Institute shows that infants who are allowed to move freely - without being propped, positioned, or rushed - develop greater body confidence, fewer injuries, and stronger physical awareness.

This isn't theory. This is decades of documented outcomes.

This is the science behind the Educaring Approach. And on April 28th, you can help bring it to more families.
