Omaha keeps growing — and a lot is happening around the metro.
New retail, entertainment, restaurants, and commercial investment keep popping up across the area.

Here are a few updates worth knowing:

• Avenue One | 192nd & West Dodge — Ulta Beauty has signed a 10,000 SF lease, joining Arhaus, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, Barnes & Noble, and L.L. Bean. The 200-acre mixed-use development is one of Nebraska’s five Good Life Districts, with openings planned for 2027.

• Blue Galaxy Family Fun Center | Council Bluffs — An 80,000 SF indoor entertainment center is planned for the former At Home location near I-80, featuring trampolines, go-karts, arcade games, VR attractions, and more.

• Betty Rae’s Ice Cream — A third Omaha location is opening at 17676 Welch Plaza, adding to its Pepperwood Village and Center Street locations.

• Plattfluss Brauhaus | 120th Street — A new nonprofit brewery at the German-American Society will specialize in traditional German-style beers, with its grand opening planned for October.

• Millwork Commons — Local Bel Merch is relocating its headquarters and retail operation to the Dizzy Mule Apartments, adding to the continued momentum in this growing downtown district.

• Les Schwab Tire Center — Its first metro location has opened in Papillion, with additional locations planned near 204th & F and 165th & West Maple.

And a great hometown success story: Omaha-based Scooter’s Coffee made the QSR 50 for the first time, reporting $859 million in systemwide sales across 906 stores in 32 states.

Because where businesses invest matters. New restaurants, retail, entertainment, and commercial development help shape where people want to live, work, invest, and spend their time — and that can ultimately influence housing demand and neighborhood growth.

Last week I attended a home inspection for my out of state clients at Shea Homes in the Trilogy Verde River community.

My clients are building their retirement home in this beautiful active resort community.

Alexis, the construction manager, is undoubtedly the best I’ve ever encountered. She demonstrated exceptional organization and an impeccable attention to detail.
