Wage violations can take many forms. Under Arizona and federal law, unpaid wages may include unpaid overtime, off-the-clock work, withheld commissions or earned compensation, improper paycheck deductions, or failure to pay final wages when required.

If you believe you are not being paid correctly, keep copies of pay stubs, schedules, time records, and any communications regarding your pay. Good documentation can make a significant difference when evaluating a claim.

Wage issues often have important deadlines, so it is best to address concerns as soon as possible. Learn more about your rights at fernandezwattslaw.com.

Federal employees who experience discrimination, harassment, or retaliation are generally required to follow a unique Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) process that differs from private-sector claims.

Here are three key steps:
🔹Contact an EEO counselor within the required deadline.
🔹Participate in counseling or alternative dispute resolution.
🔹File a formal complaint if the matter is not resolved.

Navigating the federal EEO process can be complex, and important deadlines apply. Employees may choose to seek legal representation at various stages of the process.

Attorney Mark Sorokin represents federal employees nationwide and has extensive experience handling federal-sector employment matters. If you have questions about a federal workplace issue, contact our team at fernandezwattslaw.com.

Summer often brings staffing shortages, vacation coverage, and changing workloads. If you need a workplace accommodation that affects your schedule, you may have rights under federal and state employment laws.

If you believe you need an accommodation, one of the most important steps you can take is to document your request and keep records of your communications with your employer. Clear documentation can help avoid misunderstandings and create a record of the interactive process.

Every situation is different, and accommodation requests should be evaluated based on the specific facts involved. Learn more about your workplace rights at fernandezwattslaw.com.
