This week, associate Laura Diaz and paralegal Jairo Bustos revisited their alma mater at the Record Clearance Project's (RCP) 15-Year Anniversary Event at San Jose State University. After connecting with former professors and other alumni, they enjoyed learning more about the program's growth and milestones over the past 15 years.

The RCP provides legal services and education to low-income families and individuals, while striving to make information and representation available for those in need. The RCP's Path to Expungement program assists those leaving custody and offers them a second chance to move forward with their lives.

Our team joined the Stroke Awareness Foundation for its 15th annual Fight Stroke Walk at the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. Hundreds of people participated in a 5K walk to raise awareness about strokes, stroke research, and survivors.

Mothers Against Murder - MAM has awarded McManis Faulkner founder and partner, James McManis, with the 2026 Unsung Hero Award.
