August is Child Support Awareness Month, an opportunity to recognize the important role child support plays in helping provide stability and meet the needs of children.

Child support is about more than a financial obligation. It can help cover everyday necessities such as housing, food, education, health care, and other expenses that contribute to a child's well-being. Every family’s circumstances are different, and understanding the process can help parents make informed decisions about their children’s future.

At Paredes Justo, PC, we understand that navigating family law matters can bring questions and uncertainty. If you have questions about how child support may apply to your family law matter, our team is here to help.

July is National Child-Centered Divorce Month. While every family is different, creating a supportive environment, encouraging healthy communication, and helping children maintain strong relationships with both parents, whenever appropriate, can make a meaningful difference during times of change.

A child-centered approach reminds us that decisions made today can have a lasting impact on a child's sense of stability, security, and well-being. Prioritizing children's needs fosters resilience and provides a stronger foundation as families adjust to a new chapter.

If you or someone you know is navigating a family transition, learning about child-centered approaches can support healthier outcomes for everyone involved.

June 12 marks Loving Day, commemorating the landmark 1967 Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia.

The case began with Richard and Mildred Loving, whose challenge to Virginia's in*******al marriage ban ultimately led the Supreme Court to strike down laws prohibiting in*******al marriage across the United States. Their case remains a powerful reminder of how the law can shape lives, expand individual rights, and advance equality.
