Wednesday thoughts as we are entering Medicare open season…10/15..make sure you pick a plan that meets your individual/health needs. Electing the right plan can be over whelming..especially when you have so many to choose from. My advise…ask your P*P and your specialist front desk which plans they work with and which they have had the best experiences with…you do NOT want to choose a plan that does not cover your medical team. If you’re wanting to change plans call me!!!.. I can assist.. I have almost 20 years working directly with SSA & MEDICARE-I fully understand the Medicare system. Many of my clients have shared that they cannot afford adult diapers. We are NOT a non profit but we will make it a point to always have adult diapers at our location which Castillo Advocacy Group will BUY and gladly give away. At the present time we only have size LG. (We will carry a variety of sizes) if anyone needs a bag of LG adult diapers please message me:). They are FREE.

Random Wednesday thoughts….as a VETERAN…i personally understand the aftermath of military service. Mental health diagnosis from combat and physical injuries(wear and tear) on/off battlefield are the the price many of us in uniform pay to PROUDLY SERVE our country. These past few years when I worked for SSA I had seen how difficult Social Security was making it for VETERANS even 100% SC Veterans to get approved. This shift is a complete opposite of how cases were once reviewed, considered and in majority of cases APPROVED to benefit the veteran. I’m not saying that every case should be APPROVED, I am SAYING that every case MUST be PROPERLY REVIEWED & CONSIDERED as a SPECIAL case. This 1% of Americans that have gone through the unthinkable, sometimes 5-plus DEPLOYMENTS…etc. their cases need to be viewed and considered from a different lens-service members are not your regular applicant.
-with that said…..to my fellow Veterans that are frustrated with the system, if you feel like your cases are not being properly reviewed…demand MORE from your CONGRESSMAN, you DESERVE that.

Working……late. Disability case APPROVED…🙏. Sometimes as an advocate we have to stay on top of cases….this case was one of those cases that we put in the additional hours…met with the applicant personally, drove out to them..& made sure the case was solid. ⚖️

Another approval!!!…won at the Recon level. We were brought on…we tracked the case, stayed on top of it..& it was worth the work. Going back to 06/2023🎉🎉🎉…Congrats to our Client…
