And the award goes to…Ms. Jacques! 🏆
This morning we presented March’s Teaming Up With Teachers award to this amazing art teacher at Sandy Lane Elementary. Here are her nominations:
“She is the hardest worker I know. The students and staff love her and her work with students has been recognized throughout the county. She works in the mentor program, she works with the running club, and teaches night and summer classes to kids at the Dunedin Museum. She enters her students’ art into every art show in the county, where her students are always recognized for incredible art! But most of all, she makes her students feel safe, loved, accepted and valued! Devon is truly the epitome of an outstanding teacher! I am so proud of all of her hard work and dedication- making lifelong learners, one day at a time.”
“Devon has been teaching for 20+ years, and not once has she ever had negative feedback. She goes above and beyond for not only her students, but her family and friends as well. Between teaching, Girls on the Run, and art lessons on Wednesdays at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center, you could say her schedule is tight, yet she does it everyday with a smile on her face. I believe she is the perfect candidate for this award, and if you knew her, you would 100% agree too!”
Way to go, Ms. Jacques! You are amazing 🤩
