Dennis was more than an exceptional attorney, he was a dedicated servant to this community, a trusted mentor, and an invaluable source of wisdom for all who had the privilege of knowing him. In October 2023, Jim Hansen successfully obtained a defense verdict on behalf of Quincy Medical Group and one of its family practice physicians in a medical negligence case.

And now, on January 23, 2026, the Illinois Supreme Court filed its opinion upholding the trial court’s verdict.

A few months ago, we shared that Jim argued in front of the Illinois Supreme Court to defend this result. We’re proud to report that the defense verdict stands!
