🚗 PCS Tip Wednesday: Don’t choose a home based on miles from JBLM alone.
One of the biggest things I tell families PCSing to JBLM is this:
10 miles from base does NOT always mean a 10-minute commute.
Your actual drive can depend on:
📍 Which gate you’ll use most often
⏰ What time you report
🚗 I-5 traffic
🏡 Which community you choose
🌲 Whether you want more space or a shorter commute
That’s why I encourage buyers to think beyond just “How close is this house to JBLM?”
Sometimes a home a little farther away can actually make more sense for your family, lifestyle, budget and even your daily drive.
